Multi-tenant
A platform design where many businesses share one system but their data is kept separate. Vitrula is multi-tenant: each business has its own stores, customers and settings.
Multi-store
Running more than one store from a single account. In Vitrula each store has its own theme, domain, language and currency.
Custom domain
Your own web address, such as shop.example.com, instead of a platform subdomain. You connect it with a DNS record.
DNS
The system that maps a domain name to the server that serves it. Changing DNS records is how you point a domain to your store.
CNAME record
A DNS record that makes one name an alias of another. Custom domains are often connected with a CNAME that the platform gives you.
SSL certificate
A certificate that enables HTTPS, encrypting traffic between the shopper and your store. Vitrula issues it automatically for connected domains.
hreflang
A tag that tells search engines which language or region version of a page to show to which users. It matters for stores sold in several languages.
Webhook
A message one system sends to a URL of yours when something happens, such as a new order. Vitrula signs webhooks so you can verify them.
API key
A secret used by software to call an API. Vitrula keys are scoped, so each has only the permissions it needs.
Payment gateway
A service that processes card payments for an online store. PayTR and iyzico are payment gateways used in Türkiye.
Virtual POS
The Turkish term for online card acquiring: a bank or provider service that lets a website take card payments.
Cash on delivery
A payment method where the customer pays the courier on delivery. The order waits for approval and may carry a fee.
SKU
Stock keeping unit: a unique code for each sellable product or variant, used to track stock.
Variant
A version of a product, such as a size or color, with its own SKU, price or stock.
Abandoned cart
A cart a shopper filled but did not check out. Tracking them shows where customers drop off.
Conversion rate
The share of visitors who place an order. It is orders divided by visits.
e-Archive invoice
A Turkish electronic invoice type for sales to consumers. Accounting software can issue it from your orders.
GDPR and KVKK
The European data protection regulation and its Turkish counterpart, the Personal Data Protection Law. Both govern how stores collect and handle customer data.
